Becoming a member of the PTA is the easiest way to contribute to the success of the various programs designed for your students and sponsored by ACMS PTA. You also gain access to some great discounts, locally and nationally. The Texas PTA and National PTA has some amazing member benefits you can access using your ACMS PTA membership number.

 

Every member of your household, grandparents, uncles, aunts, etc., are ALL welcome to join our PTA and help support our programs at ACMS.

 

 

 

 Membership is $12 per individual.

If I join, do I have to . . .?

  • Go to meetings?
    No. You are welcome to attend our general meetings though. We need YOUR support and YOUR VOTE on how PTA operates.

  • Volunteer or spend a lot of time at school?

    Nope! Joining the PTA is not the same as volunteering. If you choose to volunteer we would LOVE the help—but volunteering is not required.

 
Why Join PTA?  

The #1 reason to join the PTA is to support Arbor Creek Middle School and your child! The ACMS PTA is dedicated to supporting Arbor Creek’s efforts to provide a quality educational environment for students. By joining, you are supporting those efforts. Studies show that kids perform better in school when parents are involved. Grades are higher. Test scores improve. Attendance increases. Involved parents are informed parents.

 

What Does the PTA Do?

The Arbor Creek Middle School PTA provides programs and services to parents, students, and teachers. We raise funds to support the staff and students with all the extras the school district budgeting does not provide. We coordinate volunteers for needs throughout the school, organize parent education nights, and host periodic luncheons to appreciate the efforts of staff. We provide scholarships for graduating seniors (ACMS PTA student members are eligible!!), provide funds for classroom support, STAAR snacks, field trip assistance, and more to help defray educational costs. Additionally, we coordinate the National PTA Reflections program to support the arts.

 

Should My Student Join?

Absolutely! It is never too early to become a leader and support your school. Student members also become eligible for scholarships in high school and can participate in PTA's Reflections Arts Program.
